Drop by at Vientiane

5 more hours journey by bus from ViengViang. Quick stop in Vientiane, Capital City of Laos. Booked a flight to Hue, Central Vietnam, from where i’d carry on exploring south.

Vientiane has just under 200.000 people (!!). That's all... In fact, I found Vientiane quite an easy-going city. Compared with Hanoi, the city is cleaner, the streets are wider, there’s more sense of space, the air is not so dense and people seem quite laid-back. Far less motorcycles and more cars instead. Including top class cars one wouldn’t expect to find in Laos. Could I leave in Vientine? Yes, I could.

Arrived one day to leave the next, so time to go for a walk around and see a couple of places.

The City Hall

The Presidential Palace

Wat Sisatek The oldest Wat in Vientiane and the one with more Buddha figures in the whole Laos. Over 6000.

special buddha, hand made in Bo Dao Nha!!

Wandering around and exploring.

iTech scafolding. Andaimes de primeira categoria!

Spent one full hour on at the post office to send a package back home full of shait I had accumulated here. Was a bloody mission! And the charge? I felt raped... i mean... ripped! That’s it, no more postings, i’m buying an extra large bag!

Bumped onto the german couple, Jas and Kai, and also onto Louis, the canadian we left behing up in Muang Khwa. Curioso...

Ride on baby!! To the airport pleeeease!

Take back me to Vietnam!
